Annual Budget Workshop Thursday to feature comprehensive look at district, priorities for 2026-27

Posted Date: 02/03/26 (05:00 PM)

Join us Thursday night for a comprehensive look at what has been going on within the Red Hook Central School District this year and where we’re going in the coming year.
Thursday at 6 p.m. is the Board of Education’s annual Budget Workshop, in which district leaders from each department and building will share their progress toward goals what aims and initiatives they have planned for 2026-27.
The meeting is a great way to get caught up with the district and better understand the priorities and factors that are shaping the 2026-27 draft budget proposal.
You can attend the meeting live at the PK-2 Mill Road Elementary School cafeteria or follow along by livestream through Teams at this link
As the Board meeting is purely devoted to the budget workshop, there will be no public comment period. After Thursday, the next Board meeting is scheduled for Feb. 19. The Board’s annual Community Conversations event, in which residents are invited to engage in roundtable conversations with members of the Board and other district leadership, is planned for March 5.
District leadership and the Board are working toward shaping a budget proposal for the 2026-27 school year, with possible ballot propositions to address district needs. There will also be two Board vacancies on the ballot. The annual budget and school board vote is scheduled for May 19.
